Facility Maintenance Assistant

JOB SUMMARY

 The Camp Maintenance Assistant provides support to camp facilities; providing mowing and trimming, routine maintenance and cleaning activities. This is a seasonal position that runs through the Spring/Summer months.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES

1. Responsible for mowing and trimming duties.
2. Assists in maintaining and cleaning buildings, equipment, program areas and perimeter as needed.
3. May assist Camp Ranger with general maintenance duties and minor repairs around camp.
4. Follows GSUSA, ACA, and council policies and guidelines and ensures compliance with relevant federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and codes.
5. Works with cross-functional teams to develop innovative techniques to ensure on going effective delivery of the Girl Scout experience for stakeholders.
6. Ensures Girl Scouting is open to all girls and adults by delivering the Girl Scout message of pluralism and diversity to members of the Council.
7. Promotes and assists with council wide programs, activities, public relations and fund development endeavors.
8. Performs other duties as assigned.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS and REQUIREMENTS 

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Must be able to operate basic lawn equipment such as a mower or trimmer.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Valid driver's license.
• Access to reliable transportation and proof of vehicle insurance.
• Belief in and supports the mission of the Girl Scouts.
• Become a registered Girl Scout member.
