Girl Experience Manager - Leadership

The Girl Experience Manager - Leadership is responsible for the development, implementation, and evaluations or council-wide leadership programing for girls in grades 6 12th.  The manager is responsible for developing and executing strategies to ensure delivery Leadership programs in all regions of the Council.  This position develops partnerships and collaborations with corporate and financial institutions within the council to establish potential funding and volunteer support of quality hands-on programming and ensure effective delivery of the Girl Scout experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONISBLITIES

1. Responsible for the development, implementation, and evaluation of Leadership programs in all areas of the Council.
2. Cultivates and engages community support and ensures adult and volunteer participation in the Leadership programs.
3. Recruits volunteers to support troop, community, regional, and council-wide programming.
4. Analyzes market data, membership trends and other available information to develop and implement a comprehensive strategy plan for Girl programing.
5. Responsible for achieving community engagement and development goals to recruit members, volunteers, and cultivate support for Girl Scouts.
6. Cultivates and engages community support and partnerships to support funding, volunteers, and creation of Leadership programs.
7. Responsible for creating and oversee volunteer committees and/or volunteer advisory teams to assist with the development and implantation programs.
8. Supports and educates volunteers, staff, and community members on the National Girl Scout program and Leadership related badges.
9. Manages all aspects of the High Awards and National program recognition including supporting regional Gold Award Troops and increasing community awareness of the Gold Award.
10. Support girls seeking GSUSA and GSEIWI recognitions (i.e. Gold, Silver & Bronze Award, President's Award, Service Awards, Mentoring Awards, and GSEIWI Scholarships).
11. Serve as the main resource and liaison for volunteers, girls, parents, and Council staff relating to Leadership programs.
12. Manages and coordinates budget and allocates resources wisely.
13. Collaborate with Marketing to ensure Council Wide Marketing Strategies of girl program.
14. Prepares a variety of status reports and ensures are required paperwork and reports are submitted within required timeframes.
15. Works with cross-functional teams to develop innovative techniques to ensure on going effective delivery of the recruitment and volunteer support strategies.
16. Ensures Girl Scouting is open to all girls and adults by delivering the Girl Scouts message of pluralism and diversity to members of the council. Promotes and assists with Council wide programs, activities, public relations and fund development endeavors.
17. Performs other duties as assigned.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS and REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree or 2 years' experience in outside sales or recruiting preferred.
• Willingness to work nights and weekends, up to 80% of time outside the office
• Computer skills in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook
• Ability to motivate volunteers
• Valid driver's license.
• Access to reliable transportation.
• Proof of vehicle insurance.
• Belief in and supports the mission of the Girl Scouts.
• Become a registered Girl Scout member.
