Girl Experience Specialist - Daisy

The Girl Experience Specialist - Daisy works collaboratively with the Girl Experience Manager to development, implement, and evaluate Daisy programs for girls in kindergarten and first grade.  The Specialist provides support to girls, parents, and leaders with girls in the Daisy program.  The Girl Experience Specialist cultivates and engages community members to support programing and ensure effective delivery of the Girl Scout experience.  

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONISBLITIES

  • Responsible for the development and implementation of Daisy program and ensures Daisy programs are held in all regions of the Council.
  • Cultivates and engages community support within an assigned geographic area.
  • Ensures adult and volunteer participation in the Daisy program.
  • Plans and delivers bridging events in all regions of the council.
  • Plans and delivers spring events for pre-K in all regions of the council.
  • Assists with the development and implementation of training and support to Daisy leaders.
  • Responsible for achieving community engagement and development goals to recruit members, volunteers, and cultivate support for Girl Scouts.
  • The specialist works collaboratively with members of the Girl Experience team and the Community Engagement team to ensure achievement of the Council's membership goals.
  • Establish guidelines for community collaboration in the development of programs for girls.
  • Assists Manager to build and support community partnerships to facilitate and expand programs.
  • Prepares a variety of status reports and ensures required paperwork and reports are submitted within required timeframes.
  • Works with cross-functional teams to develop innovative techniques to ensure on going effective delivery of the recruitment and volunteer support strategies.
  • Ensures Girl Scouting is open to all girls and adults by delivering the Girl Scouts message of pluralism and diversity to members of the council.
  • Promotes and assists with Council wide programs, activities, public relations and fund development endeavors.
  • Performs other duties as assigned. 

 POSITION QUALIFICATIONS and REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree or 2 years' experience youth programs.
  • Willingness to work nights and weekends, up to 80% of time outside the office
  • Computer skills in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Ability to motivate volunteers
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Access to reliable transportation.
  • Proof of vehicle insurance.
  • Belief in and supports the mission of the Girl Scouts.
  • Become a registered Girl Scout member.
