Grant Coordinator

JOB SUMMARY

The Grants Coordinator is responsible for planning and implementing long and short term strategies to solicit and secure funding from foundations, corporations, United Way agencies, other organizations and potential givers.   

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES

  1. Responsible for securing funding from foundations, corporations, United Way agencies, other organizations and prospects.
  2. Writes and submits letters of inquire, proposals, and any related reports and documentation.
  3. Monitors grants thought-out the grant life ensuring all grant deadlines, documentation, and reporting requirements are met.
  4. Responsible for the United Way agency grants throughout the council; develops and implements an annual plan of work, works with team members to write and submit applications, and ensures timely reporting as required by each United Way agency.
  5. Maintains fund development data management system to ensure accurate donor and grant information.
  6. Ensures accurate donor acknowledgments are sent.
  7. Develops and maintains the council's grant writing procedures.
  8. Develops and implements an annual plan of work that identifies, cultivates, and solicits grants from a variety of sources.
  9. Works closely with fund development team to assist with creation and implementation of fundraising strategies.
  10. Works with cross-functional teams to develop innovative techniques to ensure ongoing effective delivery of the Girl Scout program.
  11. Ensures Girl Scouting is open to all girls and adults by delivering the Girl Scout message of pluralism and diversity to members of the council.
  12. Promotes and assists with Council wide programs, activities, public relations, and fund development endeavors.
  13. Performs other duties as assigned.

 POSITION QUALIFICATIONS and REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in Non-profit management, Business administration, other related field or 2 years related experience, preferred.
  • Excellent technical computer skills in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook, and customer relationship management systems or other data tracking systems.
  • Wiliness to work occasional nights and weekends
  • Belief in and supports the mission of the Girl Scouts
  • Become a registered Girl Scout member
