As a Volunteer Development Specialist at Girl Scouts of Eastern IA and Western IL, your days will be filled with excitement and purpose! Get ready to embark on a rewarding journey where you will be responsible for supporting and guiding our incredible volunteers. From day one, you can expect to collaborate with a team of passionate individuals who are dedicated to creating opportunities for girls to thrive. Your smart and problem-solving skills will be put to the test as you assist with volunteer onboarding, recognition and training. You'll have the chance to showcase your customer-centricity by providing exceptional support and resources to our volunteers, ensuring they have everything they need to succeed.

With a flexible schedule, you'll enjoy the freedom to balance your personal and professional life. Most of your work will be during regular business hours, Monday to Friday, from 9 am to 5 pm. While there may be occasional weekend and evening events, you'll have plenty of time to relax and recharge. What we're looking for in a Volunteer Development Specialist

To thrive as a Volunteer Development Specialist at Girl Scouts of Eastern IA and Western IL, you'll need a unique set of skills and tools in your arsenal. As a smart and innovative problem solver, you'll conquer any challenges that come your way. First and foremost, your excellent communication and interpersonal skills will be essential.

You'll need to effectively engage with volunteers, build strong relationships, and provide guidance and support. You'll need to create captivating presentations, develop training materials, and keep track of volunteer information. Familiarity with CRM software, such as Salesforce, will also be beneficial in managing volunteer data and tracking their progress. Being a detail-oriented individual will work to your advantage as you ensure accuracy in volunteer records, organize events, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
