The Community Outreach Facilitator is responsible for delivering the Girl Scout program to at risk girls.  The Community Outreach Facilitator works with community partners to design and deliver Girl Scout curriculum to meet the interest and needs of the girls. 


  1. In conjunction with community partners and volunteers, the Community Outreach Facilitator delivers of the activities at Outreach sites.

  2. Provides guidance to volunteers and community partners in the delivery of the Girl Scout program.

  3. Assists with the development of lesson plans and program curriculum to meet the interest and needs of girls to ensure plans reach all racial/ethnic groups and provide equal access to all girls.

  4. Contributes to and implements plans to recruit girls' members in under-severed and low income areas.

  5. Contributes to and implements plans to recruit adult volunteers, and community partners to deliver the Girl Scout program to Outreach sites.

  6. Ensures accurate documentation of attendance by participants and that participants meet registration requirements.

  7. Executes Product Manager functions for participants in cookie sale through Outreach sites.

  8. Ensures emergency procedures appropriate to the site and consistent with Girl Scout of the USA health and safety standards are followed.

  9. Prepares a variety of status reports including; activity, follow-up, and adherence to goals.

  10. The Community Outreach Facilitator assists with administrative takes which may include:

    • Creating and filling Outreach program supply totes.

    • Processing registrations and program rosters.

    • Coordinating recognition orders and distribution.

    • Other program paperwork.

    • In partnership with the Marketing department assists with the creation of flyers and promotional materials.

  11. Works with cross-functional teams to develop innovative techniques to ensure on going effective delivery of the recruitment and placement strategies.

  12. Ensures Girl Scouting is open to all girls and adults by delivering the Girl Scout message of pluralism and diversity to members of the council.

  13. Promotes and assists with Council wide programs, activities, public relations and fund development endeavors.

  14. Performs other duties as assigned.



  • Experience working with youth, preferred.

  • Some technical experience with computer skills in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook.

  • Ability to lift 35 lbs.

  • Valid driver's license.

  • Access to reliable transportation.

  • Proof of vehicle insurance.

  • Belief in and supports the mission of the Girl Scouts.

  • Become a registered Girl Scout member.
